Denver based producer SkyRider presents four previously unreleased instrumental gems to showcase his sonic trajectory of 2015 and beyond. Many will recognize Skyrider as the band leader & producer behind three of Sole's most ambitious releases. It is a special honor to have him back contributing to Fake Four for our 2014 Freecember series.

"Vinyl Blind" and "Treat" both feature composer (and SSRB comrade), William Ryan Fritch, and will be included on a January 2015 release at skyridermusic.com.

"Useless" is a recent SkyRider remix of a Passage (anticon) instrumental song from his forthcoming album on Illuminated Paths Records.

Album opener, "YaMeCansé" is an anthemic expression of empathy for the 43 disappeared students in Iguala, Mexico. The song was written as city hall burned, underscoring the people's discontent with police and government involvement in the tragedy.

This wonderful album hit me hard in 2003. Boards of Canada / Autechre were on the pure exploratory electronic side of music. Sole with seling live water came unexpectedly with a noisier and more electronic variant at that time, which was understood as hip hop. Very well aged, still valid and no favorite to choose. Solid!
